Police issue community safety advisory following release of man convicted of Westdale trail assault

Barrie Police has issued a rare community safety advisory following the release of a high-risk offender convicted of many crimes, including an assault on a Westdale trail in 2021.

Tony Robert Gordon of Hamilton was arrested in the fall of 2021 after an assault on a Caleb’s Walk Trail in the area of Dalewood Crescent and Oak Knoll Drive. He was convicted of this crime in 2022.

Members of the public are advised to call 9-1-1 if they see Gordon violating any terms of his release, which are outlined in this Barrie Police statement.
