PACBIC seeks a Co-Chair, Faculty and a Vice-Chair, Staff
The President’s Advisory Committee on Building an Inclusive Community (PACBIC) identifies issues and advances strategies related to equity, diversity and inclusion (EDI) at McMaster. PACBIC also submits annual reports and makes recommendations for action to the President, the University Planning Committee (UPC) and other relevant University bodies in order to channel EDI advice through the University structure; provides feedback to the President on institutional progress involving the planning, development, implementation and evaluation of University strategies, policies and programs to support the advancement of EDI priorities and goals; and, organizes and supports avenues for discussion, reflection and learning on issues of inclusion, equity and community-building in a manner that is in keeping with and empowered by institutional values and commitments to creating spaces for respectful and responsible dialogue and debate.

In keeping with its Statement on Building an Inclusive Community with a Shared Purpose, PACBIC seeks interested staff and faculty members who share a commitment to equity, diversity and inclusion.
