Oracle maintenance work scheduled for April 21-22, 2023
On Friday, April 21, 2023, from 6:00 PM to Saturday, April 22nd 6:00 AM, McMaster is required to patch its Oracle database platforms. This work is part of Oracle’s quarterly infrastructure maintenance. The timing is determined by Oracle and is beyond the control of the university.
During the maintenance period, all Oracle-supported Database platforms will be unavailable, including Mosaic, Jira, Jira SD, Confluence, Identity Access Management (IAM), UA, Infosilem, BI, Service Bus (OSB), MDSS, ROA, and Hyperion. Additionally, the following servers will also be inaccessible: Oracle Exadata Database Service on Cloud@Customer and Oracle Exadata Database Service on Dedicated Infrastructure.
To ensure smooth operations of your applications, if you are responsible for any of the hosted applications, please work with The PS Admin team to arrange a scheduled, controlled shutdown of the applications before work begins at c-psadmin@mcmaster.ca.
We understand that this outage coincides with the Winter exam period and financial year-end. We assure you that we will make every effort to ensure the work is conducted smoothly to minimize any negative impact.
