Nov. 4 Holocaust Survivor Testimony: Elly Gotz
McMaster Hillel is honoured to bring Mr. Elly Gotz to campus and to hear his powerful story of survival of the Holocaust.
We are a generation who has the opportunity to hear first hand testimony and it is our responsibility to hear and to bear witness. Please join us on Monday, November 4 at 7 p.m. in ABB 163.
Elly Gotz is a graduate of electronics engineering, a businessman and author. He was born in Lithuania. He spent his teenage years in a Nazi Ghetto there and later in concentration camp Dachau, Germany, where he was liberated in 1945 by the American army.
After the war he lived in Germany, Norway, Zimbabwe and South Africa. Elly came with his family to Canada in 1964. He lives in Toronto. Elly will talk about his experiences during the war and after liberation from the concentration camps.
