New project to tackle questions of austerity
Political Science professor Stephen McBride heads up an international project aimed at discussing the effects of and alternatives to austerity measures adopted by various levels of governments.
The project, names Austerity and its Alternatives, brings together academic and non-academic researchers, institutions, and NGO’s in Canada, the UK, Ireland, Australia, and Germany to stimulate conversations about alternatives to austerity. Their goal is to translate research f=findings, data, and insights on the effects and alternatives of austerity policies into highly readable summaries that bring knowledge and academics out from the classroom and into the hands of the general public and policy communities.
