New look for McMaster Student ID card
The McMaster student card has gotten a makeover. It’s now known as MacCard!
What you need to know:
- The new design is more accessible.
- Cards with the old design don’t need to be replaced and will still work at all partner locations.
- If you do need a replacement, visit the MacCard counter at the campus store after August 26th. A $30 replacement fee will be applicable.
As part of the student ID refresh, the MacCard team has been working hard to bring students a new, smarter, more secure online photo submission tool.
New and current students can upload their ID photo and a piece of government ID in a single spot starting June 6th at noon. Our new tool will automatically crop, rotate, and remove the background of photos to help ensure that it meets our requirements.
Even though students won’t need a new ID card, their ID photo is used by many systems on campus and an updated photo will be needed before purchasing a replacement card if theirs is lost or stolen. We want to see lots of smiling faces, students! Replace your old photo with one that meets our new requirements today.
