Mosaic service will be unavailable during planned weekend outages
McMaster community members are advised that all Mosaic services will be down during the following weekends:
- Friday, May 23, 5:30 p.m. – Monday May 26, 8 a.m.
- Friday, June 6, 5:30 p.m. – Monday June 9, 8 a.m.
- Friday, June 13, 5:30 p.m. – Monday, June 16, 8 a.m.
During weekend outages, there will be no access to Mosaic for students, staff, faculty and applicants.
Systems connected to Mosaic — including Hyperion, My Timetable, MacBuy, and any other systems with direct data integrations with Mosaic — may be impacted during the outages.
These outages are necessary as McMaster undertakes critical Mosaic infrastructure activities to future-proof IT infrastructure, enhance cybersecurity, improve services and increase efficiency.
Although Mosaic regularly undergoes planned weekend maintenance, the frequency of these upcoming outages is unique.
University Technology Services (UTS) consulted with various campus partners, including the Registrar’s Office, Human Resources, Financial Affairs, McMaster Continuing Education and faculty offices to decide on the planned outage dates with a goal to limit impact to the campus community.
The Mosaic login page will display a notice during the outage periods to inform users that the system is down.
If you have questions or concerns about the outage, please contact the UTS Service Desk.
Some of the services that will be impacted during outages:
- All Mosaic services
- Hyperion
- Jira and Jira Service Management
- My Timetable
- MacBuy.
