More than 100 job shadow placements up for grabs
Students interested in trying out a career for a day can apply for one of 130 Job Shadow placements on campus, in Hamilton and in the Greater Toronto Area during the week of Nov. 3-7.
Co-ordinated by the Student Success Centre, the Job Shadow program enables students to shadow a professional of their choice for a full or half day.
“The program gives participants an opportunity to learn new skills, expand their work portfolio and build networks,” said experiential program co-ordinator Phil Williams.
There are a wide range of placements to choose from, including: accounting, business, finance, human resources, health care, public health, research, law, journalism and more.
The deadline to apply is Oct. 20 at 11:59 p.m.
A cover letter and resume is all that is required. For students who need a resume refresher, drop-in resume critiques are available in the Student Success Centre (Gilmour Hall 110) on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 1:30-4:30 p.m.
