Take a step toward peace, community engagement, social justice and outdoor learning by participating in the McMaster Summer Peace Institute.
Part of the Perspectives on Peace initiative, The Summer Peace Institute is a 3 day, 2 night experiential short-course that will run during the month of July 2015 and is open to all McMaster undergraduate students.
Through innovative, engaging, and experiential activities, students will think about root causes of conflict, conflict resolution and productive strategies towards transformation.
Students can expect a variety of sessions and activities including:
- Introduction to peace and conflict
- Adaptive co-management
- How to achieve conflict transformation
- Outdoor activities include a canoe trip at Princess Point, guided hikes, evening campfires and conflict simulations
This program will be offered twice during the month of July:
Session 1: July 10th-12th
Session 2: July 17th–19th
