McMaster Research Data Forum: Dec 12
McMaster faculty members, staff, and students are invited to attend the 2018 McMaster Research Data Forum – an event hosted by the McMaster Library, RHPCS, MacDATA Institute, and the Tier 3 Research Data Management IT Committee.
This event aims to facilitate a broad discussion around data management challenges faced by researchers, as well as potential implications of a pending Tri-Agency Research Data Management policy.

Where: The Sherman Centre for Digital Scholarship, First floor, Mills Memorial Library

The agenda includes:
- A keynote address by Jeff Moon, Director of the Portage Network, describing the evolving national landscape of research data management policy and infrastructure.
- An interactive panel discussion, where McMaster researchers and service providers will discuss their research data challenges in the exploration of common solutions.
- In the afternoon session, facilitators from Statistics Canada will provide a workshop on disclosure control methods using confidential microdata at Research Data Centres (RDCs).
