McMaster graduate Mike Heenan named president of St. Joseph’s Healthcare Hamilton
Mike Heenan, a McMaster graduate and former assistant professor in the Faculty of Health Sciences, has been named the next president of St. Joseph’s Healthcare Hamilton (SJHH).
Heenan earned his PhD in Business Administration Health Policy Management, a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Health Services Management and a Bachelor of Arts from McMaster.
Over the past 15 years, Heenan has taught post-graduate courses at McMaster on quality management in health services, patient safety and critical issues in health services. He was appointed as an assistant professor in 2017.
Heenan brings a wealth of experience and expertise to SJHH from various leadership positions in health care and government. He most recently served as executive vice president, corporate services and chief, people strategy at Humber River Health.
