This May, McMaster is transitioning to an online purchasing system integrated with Mosaic. Buyers will be able to use an online shopping cart to order items directly from 18 suppliers from negotiated contracts by competitive methods. Orders can be placed without using a p-card for these suppliers.
User acceptance testing has been completed with 58 end users from different groups across campus participating.
Navigating through MacBuy seemed like a breeze and being able to distribute the cost either by percentage or dollar amount was a nice feature to see. Hopefully assigning people as a shopper won’t be a cumbersome process, perhaps everyone should automatically be entered as a shopper. The most important feedback is that I feel much more confident and less anxious as I know you guys have set up a great dedicated team for the implementation of the MacBuy program.
– Andrew Allen, Laboratory Operations Coordinator, McMaster Stem Cell and Cancer Research Institute
I found that MacBuy was very user friendly and easy to learn and navigate. I can definitely see MacBuy’s Shared Carts feature streamlining our department’s purchasing process for group orders, making it easier for everyone!
– Morgan Van Mierlo, Accounting Assistant, Athletics and Recreation
