International Trans Day of Visibility at McMaster

March 31 is the International Trans Day of Visibility, a reminder to celebrate trans, non-binary and gender-diverse individuals and groups and to recognize their contributions to our communities.

At McMaster, the trans flag is flying above University Hall today, a reminder that every member of this community belongs here and to foster an inclusive environment.

“Every one of us has a role to play in creating a community where we all have a sense of belonging,” says Barrington Walker, vice-provost of Equity and Inclusion.

“Today and every day, I encourage our community to think about how you can help make our campus a welcoming place where everyone can thrive.”
