International Peace Conference 2012
The McMaster International Peace Conference: Peace and Global Citizenship kicks off Friday morning at the Robinson Memorial Theatre (CNH-103). The day-long affair is co-sponsored by the Provost’s Office and the Office of International Affairs.
Internationalization and community engagement have emerged as two key areas of focus at McMaster, in response to President Patrick Deane’s Forward with Integrity initiative, and the recommendations of various task forces and advisory committees.
Friday’s conference aims to involve faculty, staff, and students in an open dialogue, with a larger goal of exploring the teaching and research implications of fostering global citizenship.
The event is open to the public, and begins at 9:30 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 7. Please email hakimt@mcmaster.ca or call 905-525-9140 ext. 27360 or 24700 for more information.
