Help shape McMaster’s Barrier-Free Design Standard
McMaster strives to ensure that everyone can access what the university has to offer and is proactively working to accommodate the needs of persons with disabilities and promote accessibility on all our properties.
The Barrier-Free Design Standard builds on the momentum of various barrier-free initiatives undertaken over the past 15 years. This standard will set the approach for McMaster to apply universal design strategies so everyone can confidently navigate the campus independently. The document will enhance and support the accessibility requirements of the Ontario Building Code and AODA (Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act), including its future post-secondary standard.
