Have your say: McMaster’s search for a new Vice-President and Dean (Faculty of Health Sciences)

McMaster is inviting students, faculty, staff, alumni, and community members to help shape the vision for its next Vice-President and Dean (Faculty of Health Sciences). This dual role involves the responsibilities of a Vice-President to support the President in strategic decision-making and as Dean, with responsibility to the Provost and Vice-President (Academic) for the operation and management of the Faculty. Your insights will play a key role in defining what the university needs in this pivotal leadership position and will help shape McMaster’s future.

From July 24th to September 10th, the university will be gathering feedback from across our diverse community. Contributions can be made through a brief anonymous survey or by emailing seoselec@mcmaster.ca

The feedback collected will guide the Selection Committee in preparing a detailed position profile, which will be promoted and shared with potential candidates and the McMaster community.

The current Vice-President and Dean (Faculty of Health Sciences), Dr. Paul O’Byrne, will conclude his term on June  30th, 2026.
