Have your say: McMaster’s search for a new Provost and Vice-President, (Academic)


McMaster is inviting students, faculty, staff, alumni and community members to help shape the vision for its next Provost and Vice-President (Academic). This key role serves as both the Chief Academic Officer and Chief Budgetary Officer of the university, overseeing teaching and learning, faculty support, student life, and analysis, budget and planning. Your insights will play a key role in defining what the university needs in this pivotal leadership position and will help shape McMaster’s future. 

From December 17th to January 6th, the university will be gathering feedback from across our diverse community. Contributions can be made through a brief anonymous survey or by emailing vp.selection@mcmaster.ca 

The feedback collected will guide the Selection Committee in crafting a detailed position profile, which will be promoted and shared with potential candidates and the McMaster community. 

Current Provost Susan Tighe has been appointed McMaster’s next President and will be assuming her new role July 1st, 2025.
