Flags lowered in memory of Correen Mascotto-Carbone
McMaster’s flags will be lowered to half-mast today in memory of Correen Mascotto-Carbone.
Mascotto-Carbone was a cherished member of the Graduate Student Resources team in the School of Graduate Studies. She passed away on March 23.
She joined the School of Graduate Studies as front desk receptionist, then moved to the position of coordinator of Postdoctoral Affairs and Research Training, where she supported postdoctoral fellows across the university.
Mascotto-Carbone used her endless energy and love of planning to lead and organize all major events held by the School, including Three Minute Thesis competitions and Graduate Student Welcome Week activities.
As a member of Graduate Studies, she helped to create a welcoming and supportive community for all graduate students and postdoctoral researchers at McMaster.
Additionally, Mascotto-Carbone held roles in the School of Nursing and the Socrates Project during her 14 years at McMaster.
She will be deeply missed by her friends and colleagues at McMaster. Click here for her obituary.
