Emergency water main replacement between Divinity College and L.R. Wilson Hall
The private road located between Divinity College (DC in the map below) and L.R. Wilson Hall (LRW) will be closed from June 17 to June 28, 2024 for an emergency water main replacement.
Access to L.R. Wilson Hall, the Life Sciences Building, Media Production Services (T34) and the Michael G. DeGroote Centre for Learning and Discovery (MDCL) loading docks will be available from University Avenue, through the south portion of the private road.
Delivery trucks should expect limited turning space and will only be able to use the MDCL loading dock; deliveries using long trucks should be scheduled before or after the closure.
On Tuesday, June 18, the closure will extend to include a section of Sterling Avenue, where it intersects with the private road. Drivers who park in LRW underground and Lot A will continue to have access to these lots.
During this time HSR buses will be rerouted and traffic control measures put in place.
To reconnect the water main on June 26, there will be a full water shutdown for McMaster Divinity College, Media Production Services and the Life Sciences Building from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. A detailed notice will be shared with occupants of those buildings.
Any changes to the construction schedule will be shared on the Daily News website and on the Campus Construction section of the Facility Services website.
