Community meeting – purchase of 88 Forsyth

The University has purchased the property at 88 Forsyth Ave. N (at Sterling).

Student Affairs is proposing to use the house for offices, student services and quiet study and lounge space. There are no plans to expand the building, which was most recently owned by a national student association and used for offices and meeting space. The University would make some structural improvements, such as replacing the roof, improving fire separation between floors, replacing windows etc.

A community meeting is being held Thurs. Jan. 16 at 7:00 pm in Council Chambers (Gilmour Hall 111). Representatives from Student Affairs will be on hand to provide further information on the proposed plans for the building. The University will soon seek new zoning for the site to allow for the intended uses.
