Call for nominations: Board of Governors, Senate and the University Planning Committee


Elections will be held in March 2021, to fill vacant undergraduate student, graduate student, teaching staff, and non-teaching staff representative seats on the following University-wide governing bodies:

Board of Governors

Undergraduate Student Representative

  • One Vacancy (2-year term)

Teaching Staff Representative

  • Two Vacancies (3-year terms)

Non-Teaching Staff Representative

  • One Vacancy (3-year term)

Senate

Undergraduate Student Representatives – one from each of the following Faculties

  • Faculty of Business (2-year term)
  • Faculty of Health Sciences (2-year term)
  • Faculty of Humanities (2-year term)
  • Faculty of Social Sciences (2-year term)

Graduate Student Representatives – one from each of the following Faculties

  • Faculty of Engineering (2-year term)
  • Faculty of Health Sciences (2-year term)
  • Faculty of Science (2-year term)
  • Faculty of Social Sciences (2-year term)

University Planning Committee

Non-Teaching Staff Representative

  • One Vacancy (3-year term)

Please note that the elections will be held in the Spring to fill vacant Teaching Staff representative seats on the University Planning Committee.

* 2-year terms are effective July 1, 2021 to June 30, 2023

* 3-year terms are effective July 1, 2021 to June 30, 2024

NOMINATION PERIOD

Thursday January 21, 2021 to Thursday February 4, 2021

Nomination forms are available at secretariat.mcmaster.ca/elections/  

Completed nomination forms must be received by the University Secretariat at unielec@mcmaster.ca  by 4:00 p.m. on Thursday February 4, 2021.
