Access control door QR code updates

As part of a second phase of enhancing access control door issue responses, Campus Safety Services is launching an updated QR Code sticker which will be placed on each access control door reader in place of the current stickers.

The QR Codes will continue to connect users to a form that will generate a ticket within the Campus Safety Services ticketing system. Since March, Campus Safety Services has responded to over 200 access door concerns. The form is for access control door hardware problems only, and does not replace the processes in place to report general door mechanic issues through Facility Services, or access permission requests.

Campus Safety Services will be placing the updated stickers with the QR Codes throughout the University in August. Should you have any questions or require more information, please contact the CSS IT team through Jacob Westerhof directly at westej2@mcmaster.ca, or through cssit@mcmaster.ca.
