Free Public Talk by Yukon Paleontologist, Grant Zazula, from Yukon’s Department of Tourism & Culture. Miners in the 1898 Klondike Gold Rush uncovered fossils of ice age mammals, and remote mines continue to be a source of well-preserved fossils. Now genetic research such as that conducted at McMaster’s Ancient DNA lab can help develop a picture of life in the ancient Arctic, its extinctions and changing ecosystems. Q&A to follow. Everyone is welcome.

HSR bus stops nearby. Parking in above ground lots is at a flat rate; underground hospital parking is an hourly charge.
