The McMaster Alumni Association is excited to have Dr. Matthew Walker, Sleep Scientist at Google, Professor of Neuroscience and Psychology at the University of California, Berkeley, and founder and director of the Center for Human Sleep Science at the University of California, Berkeley, as one of the keynote speakers for the Rejuvenate 2022 series!

Join us for a fireside chat with Dr. Walker where you’ll be introduced to his research and discover strategies you can use in your daily life to improve your sleep. This talk will be hosted by McMaster psychology professor, Dr. Joe Kim.

As the author of the New York Times bestseller, Why We Sleep, Dr. Walker provides a complete description of, and prescription for, sleep. Charting cutting-edge scientific breakthroughs, and synthesizing decades of research and clinical practice, Why We Sleep explains how we can harness sleep to improve learning, mood, and energy levels; regulate hormones; prevent cancer, Alzheimer’s, obesity, and diabetes; slow the effects of aging; increase longevity; enhance the education and lifespan of our children; and boost the efficiency, success, and productivity of our businesses

Attendees will have a chance to win 1 of 10 copies of Why We Sleep that will be given out at the end of the webinar.
