New antibiotic resistance mechanisms are emerging and spreading globally, threatening our ability to treat common infectious diseases, resulting in prolonged illness, disability, and death. Mobilizing the best-available data and research evidence to inform health systems strengthening efforts is an important step towards addressing this challenge in the many jurisdictions confronted by it worldwide. Balázs Babarczy from Hungary’s National Healthcare Service Center (and EVIPNet Hungary) will share his insights on this topic, and the lessons learned from his team’s recent experience in developing an evidence brief about this pressing issue.
