The Canadian population age is shifting higher, part of a global trend as people live longer and birthrates decline. In fact the fastest growing age group is of people 100 and over.

Dr. Parminder Raina, a professor in the department of Health Research Methods, Evidence and Impact, describes some important findings and implications for older individuals and society, from a long-term study he leads following 50,000 adults recruited in 2010 aged between 45 and 85.
