Academy Orchestra of Canada (NAO) under the direction of conductor Alain Trudel and featuring world-renowned concert pianist Valerie Tryon.

Tryon will join the NAO to perform Liszt’s Piano Concerto No 1, and the NAO will perform Dvorak’s much-loved New World Symphony and Michael Nunes, Solidarity.

Tickets are $59 – Adult, $54 – Senior, $25 – Students, $10 – Children under 12, and can be purchased here.

The Brott Music Festival was founded in 1987 by the late Maestro Boris Brott. In its 35th season, it is one of the anchor arts organizations in Hamilton, ON and is the largest orchestral music festival in Canada.

Valerie Tryon has a long and vibrant history with McMaster University, including being named McMaster’s first artist-in-residence, teaching as an Associate Professor, and receiving an honorary doctorate in 2006. She is a Fellow of the Royal Academy of Music, a Juno Award winner, a Gallery of Distinction Inductee, holds the Harriet Cohen Award for Distinguished Services to Music, and is a recipient of the Order of Canada.
