The Hamilton Community Volunteer Income Tax Program (CVITP) is here to provide a free tax service for those with a modest income and a simple tax situation in the Hamilton Community. Drop-off locations for tax documentation will be at designated branches of the Hamilton Public Library during specific dates and times only. CVITP volunteers will complete your tax return off-site and the library will let you know when your return is ready for pick-up.

Hamilton Public Library Drop-off locations:
• Red Hill, 695 Queenston Rd, Hamilton, ON L8G 1A1
• Terryberry, 100 Mohawk Rd W, Hamilton, ON L9C 1W1
• Central, 55 York Blvd, Hamilton, ON L8N 4E4

A personal tax preparation service available at no charge for individuals who are eligible:
One-person family: $35,000
Two-person family: $45,000 (combined) or less
Three-person family: $47,500 (combined) or less
Four-person family: $50,000 (combined) or less, plus $2,500 for each additional person
Not for individuals who are: self-employed; have business or rental income and expenses; capital gains or losses; employment expenses; have interest income greater than $1,000; filed for bankruptcy or; are deceased.
