My Calendar

Lynn Nottage’s Pulitzer Prize winning play Sweat is set in the year 2000 in Reading, PA. A group of friends go to work at the steel mill and then decompress at the bar as they’ve been doing for years. The company is considering layoffs, the war between community and capitalism begins, and tensions start destroying not only jobs, but relationships.

Alumni ticket includes a special pre-performance dessert reception and brief talk with Judy Fudge from McMaster’s School of Labour Studies.

Wednesday, January 29
Talk: 6 p.m., performance: 7:30 p.m.
$55 per person. Register here.
Theatre Aquarius, 190 King William St., Hamilton
