SOTA Concert: Patricia Cano

Welcome to an exciting new season of concerts organized by the School of the Arts! We have had the pleasure to host guest musicians with strong national and international reputations for over 40 years. This year makes our first season in the impressive new Concert Hall in the most recently completed building on McMaster’s campus, the L.R. Wilson Hall.

Tuesday lunchtime (12:30 p.m.) concerts are free to attend. Friday evening concert (8 p.m.) tickets are regular $20, senior $15, and student $5. A subscription to all four Friday evening concerts is regular $60 and senior $45.

We hope you will join us for our 2017 – 18 Concert Series that draws on music traditions from around the world, and the official opening of an important new venue for concerts in Hamilton.

Patricia Cano launched her music career here at home with her debut album This Is The New World, composed in collaboration – and in four languages – with her Brazilian musical partner, Carlos Bernardo. Since that time, Patricia’s band has toured extensively in Ontario, Quebec, and parts of Western Canada, playing multiple jazz and folk festivals, as well as music venues, along the way.
