Series 10dB: Where Music and Science Collaborate

As two old friends whose traditional musical paths had diverged 30 years earlier, cellist Rufus Cappadocia and saxophonist Darcy Hepner came together to perform for the first time as a duo in the spring of 2015. Drawing from their unique and eclectic backgrounds and experiences in classical, jazz, and contemporary idioms, various world music influences informed by a strong sense of composition and improvisation, they create music steeped in adventure, meditation and inspiration. Featuring a mini-lecture by Dr. David Earn, Department of Mathematics and Statistics.
