My Calendar

Queen Elizabeth Scholarship presentation by two scholars. One who traveled to Australia and worked with the Sax Institute. The other traveled to Malawi and worked with Dignitas International on work for the Ministry of Health in Malawi.

Background: The McMaster Health Forum has two different QES programs: 1) Strengthening Health Systems; and 2) Strengthening Health and Social Systems. Through the program the McMaster Health Forum gives scholarships to McMaster undergraduate and graduate students to travel abroad and engage in 90-day internships with international partners in the area of health policy and health system development. Upon their return, each scholar delivers a presentation that describes the work they did with the international partner, what they learned, and how they contributed to the work of the partner. Through QES the Forum also provides scholarships to international students which allows them to travel to Canada and learn at McMaster. The overarching purpose of the scholarship is cross-cultural exchange and the development of future international leaders.
