Are you a disabled student new to McMaster, to disability, and/or to self-advocacy and accessing accommodations?

Are you looking to learn more about how you can effectively advocate for yourself in order to achieve your educational, financial, extracurricular, and other goals?

Do you want to participate in practical skill-building activities and discuss self-advocacy scenarios with other disabled students?

Then we invite you to attend the Proactive, Reactive, and Retrospective Self-Advocacy Workshop for Disabled Students facilitated by Emunah Woolf.

This workshop, the first in a series – will explore self-advocacy in a disability context on a university campus. You will learn some basic background information on self-advocacy, participate in skill building activities, and learn what some disabled students at McMaster have to say on the subject. The workshop has been designed and will be facilitated by a disabled student. It is intended for students new to McMaster, new to having a disability, or others who feel as if these skills would be useful for them.
