Research Data Management (RDM) has become a standard and prevalent term over the past few years, as stakeholders throughout the research ecosystem have shown strong interest in ensuring that research data products are archived, preserved, and available for future re-use.

When considered at the scale of individual research projects, however, data management is much less standardized–each study presents unique challenges for managing data efficiently, effectively, and securely. While general solutions may be implemented to address some challenges, the best solutions are often those that are uncovered through conversation with others about their practices.

With this in mind, we invite data managers and researchers of all types and kinds to join us to discuss their data management successes and challenges in this 50-minute workshop. By sharing our sticking points and solutions, we hope to catalyze new approaches that improve data management for all. We’ll also present some standard tools that can be implemented into the research workflow with little barrier to implementation.
