50 Years in Space

On July 16 of 1969, Neil Armstrong, Edwin “Buzz” Aldrin and Michael Collins took off on Apollo 11. Four days later, Armstrong and Aldrin became the first humans to step on the moon. In celebration of the 50th anniversary of this historic achievement, this show will cover the history of human spaceflight. Join us while we take a tour of humans in space, from the Vostok program, Apollo, to the ISS, while also looking at major breakthroughs in astronomy over the past 50 years. To cap it off, we’ll talk about future plans for manned missions.

Show times: 7 p.m., 8:15 p.m.
