Dear McMaster Community,

The Office of the Provost invites you to celebrate International Women’s Day 2022 to an online conversation with with Dr. Jessica Hernandez, a transnational scholar, scientist and community advocate to celebrate International Women’s Day 2022. Dr. Hernandez will discuss her newly launched book “Fresh Banana Leaves: Healing Indigenous Landscapes Through Indigenous Science” and how advancing gender equality is critical in the context of climate change and a sustainable future. Following her talk, a panel discussion will take place with Dr. Hernandez and Dr. Adrianne Xavier (Acting Academic Director, Indigenous Studies Program) which will be moderated by Abeer Siddiqui (Science Librarian).

This event will take place Tuesday March 8th, 2022 from 3:00pm-4:30pm.
