My Calendar

To all our friends in Hamilton’s diverse Two Spirit and LGBTQIA+ communities, and our allies,

The LGBTQ+ Needs Assessment Committee invites you to attend the official launch of Mapping the Void, the final report emerging from the 2018 LGBTQ+ Needs Assessment Survey. This report represents the culmination of three years of intensive effort, accomplished through the hard work and dedication of numerous volunteers and community members.

This grassroots, community-driven project set out to build on existing data through intensive and thorough consultation with our communities throughout its inception, design, implementation and analysis. Meaningfully engaging our communities in all steps of this project has resulted in a report that we can all be proud of, and that we feel appropriately represents our needs in the City of Hamilton.

We look forward to sharing this final report with you, and hope to see it used to improve the lives of Two Spirit and LGBTQIA+ people who work, live or play in the City of Hamilton.

Join us for an evening of celebration and pride on Tuesday June 11th at Mills Hardware – 95 King St E, 7:00pm to 9:00pm. Refreshments including non-alcoholic beverages will be provided, cash bar will be available.

Accessibility: Mill’s Hardware’s front entrance is not accessible as it enters into a small elevated area of the room that has three steps down to the main area. There is an accessible side entrance. Two all-gender washrooms that are both fully accessible. For questions about accessibility or about the event, contact James at cec@aidsnetwork.ca
