McMaster’s Department of Economics presents the 2022 Hooker Distinguished Visiting Professor Public Lecture by professor and economist James H. Stock (Harvard University). Dr. Stock’s lecture will address the macroeconomic and energy transition implications of the war in Ukraine.

Registration is required. 

James H. Stock is an economist known for his widely influential work in econometrics, macroeconomics, and energy and environmental economics. At Harvard University, he is the inaugural vice provost for climate and sustainability, the director of the Salata Institute for Climate and Sustainability, and a faculty member in the department of economics and the Harvard Kennedy School. In 2013-2014, Dr. Stock served as a member of President Obama’s Council of Economic Advisors.
