Join us to celebrate Canada’s Healthy Workplace Month® through sharing of practice & learnings related to the development, implementation and evaluation of McMaster University’s ground-breaking 100% Tobacco & Smoke-Free Policy. In this Knowledge Transfer seminar various stakeholders will share insights and practical steps from this comprehensive approach to help inspire and support the advancement of similar policies at other post-secondary institutions across Ontario and Canada.

This seminar is intended for professionals and students who have a role in influencing, developing and/or supporting the development of healthy campus policies i.e. campus administration, human resources staff, student health services, facilities & security leads, student groups, Indigenous partners, local public health professionals and relevant placement students (i.e. MPH).

Seminar Agenda:

12 p.m. – Welcome, introductions & overview of the day
12:15 p.m. – Lunch (provided)
1 p.m. – Highlights of policy planning, implementation & evaluation – various speakers
2 p.m. – Moderated Q&A panel
2:30 p.m. – Walking tour of McMaster’s smoke-free campus
3:30 p.m. – Adjourn
