The International Women’s and Children’s Health Conference is an annual one-day conference designed for students, faculty and community members who are passionate about exploring the many facets of women’s and children’s health at home and around the world. Founded in 1998 by Dr. Jean Chamberlain and Dr. Lynda Redwood, the IWCH conference continues to provide a valuable opportunity for attendees to engage with the conference theme through the lens of medicine, social work, research and philanthropy, law, and more.

The global theme of this year’s 2018 Conference is “Changing Faces: The Evolution of the Female Identity.” We will explore what it means to identify as female and the specific gender-based challenges and barriers that this identity poses for health outcomes as well as children’s health.

We are fortunate to welcome two esteemed keynote speakers, Drs. Beverley Chalmers and Zulfiqar A. Bhutta as well as an exciting list of experts ranging from physicians, public educators, researchers, and healthcare students. Workshop and seminar themes include women in healthcare leadership, cancer in a global context, medical abortion access, the politics of female reproductive rights, bystander intervention of sexual violence, consent culture, and more!

Breakfast and lunch will be provided. Dietary restrictions can be accommodated. We are an IPE accredited event!
