Can one voice shape a community?

The McMaster community is invited to a virtual “fireside chat” this winter with the University’s Chancellor, Santee Smith / Tekaronhiahkwa.

An internationally recognized artist, producer and choreographer, Santee offers her voice and openness to image and reimage, building a clear sense of community and belonging for everyone. Serving as McMaster’s Chancellor, Santee purposely encourages the University’s mission and values in concert with the principles of understanding and cooperation of Haudenosaunee. Change begins with one voice.

Moderated by Arig al Shaibah, Associate Vice-President, Equity and Inclusion, “In Conversation with Chancellor Santee Smith” will embrace concepts of what it means to be in relationship with community and land, as well as ways of communicating for knowledge translation. Valuing and respecting these ways creates a path that cultivates space and connections for the community’s peaceful co-existence.

One person, one voice, one act at a time – change happens. We invite you to bring your voice to the conversation.
