Omics technologies are transforming our understanding of cells, tissues, and disease pathologies. The Faculty of Health Sciences at McMaster University and their partners, Hamilton Health Sciences Corporation and St. Joseph’s Healthcare Hamilton, have invested in core platforms and infrastructure to make these cutting-edge technologies available and accessible to researchers.
The Genomic Exchange Community (geXc) McMaster Symposium will showcase the facilities in Hamilton that provide next-generation sequencing, single cell technologies, and high dimensional spatial profiling, fostering multi-disciplinary discussion and collaboration. In addition to introductions to the cores, we will highlight research from local experts and the latest innovations from our vendors. Inexperienced users are encouraged to attend this symposium to learn how the staff in our cores can generate multiomics data for their experimental and clinical questions. Experienced users will have the opportunity to engage with other users and meet with vendors to discuss their ideas and applications.
The geXc McMaster Symposium is an all-day event in Hamilton, Ontario (at the McMaster University campus) culminating with a wine & cheese networking reception. The event is free for academic researchers thanks to the incredible generosity of our sponsors.
