In northwestern Canada unprecedented ecosystem changes, permafrost thaw, glacial retreat and resource exploration all place pressure on sensitive ecosystems. From the vantage of travel and research in this area over a 20-year span, Sean Carey reviews the changes and threats to our collective water resources. Dr. Carey is director of the Watershed Hydrology Group and professor in the School of Geography and Earth Sciences at McMaster. Q & A to follow.
