The McMaster Faculty of Social Sciences Initiative for Advanced Research on Mental Health and Society (ARMS) is a hub for interdisciplinary knowledge exchange on mental health from a social sciences perspective.

ARMS is excited to announce a screening for the critically acclaimed file, The Other Half!

Director Joey Klein will be in attendance to discuss the impact of the film on our understanding of mental health and to participate in a general Q and A. We look forward to engaging in discussions on the sociological understanding of mental health and its portrayal in media. This event is co-sponsored by the Department of Sociology and the McMaster Institute for Health Equity.

The event takes place on April 14th, from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm, in L.R. Wilson. Refreshments and appetizers will be served from 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm in L.R. Wilson room 1003. The screening of the Other Half will begin at 7:00 pm in the L.R. Wilson Concert Hall.
