My Calendar

McMaster’s new Fraunhofer Project Centre for Biomedical Engineering and Advanced Manufacturing (FPC-BEAM) is hosting a workshop entitled “Developing Clinical Point-of-Care (POC) Diagnostics for Improving Healthcare Outcomes” at the McMaster Innovation Park on Sept. 26th and 27th. The FPC-BEAM is a joint collaboration between McMaster and the Fraunhofer Institute, designed to develop novel technologies in cell therapy, biomaterials, biomarkers, and point-of-care diagnostics by bridging the gap between academia and industry.

This two-day workshop will bring together clinicians from various health fields with specific needs for POC diagnostics, McMaster researchers generating new technologies relevant to diagnostics and companies that develop, market and sell diagnostic-based technologies. The goal of this dialogue is to address common challenges in the clinical diagnostics field and identify opportunities for collaboration with FPC-BEAM.
