Join the Participedia community in exploring democratic and decolonial pedagogies in higher education.
What informs your practice towards decolonizing and democratic education? How do you confront systemic challenges in advancing decolonial approaches to learning about, studying, and teaching democracy? This Teaching Cafe event will explore these and other questions with panelists from the Participedia community.
Panelists include Participedia Director Dr. Bonny Ibhawoh and student research assistant Sara Abdella from McMaster University, as well as Kathy Walker, Assistant Professor in Political Studies at the University of Saskatchewan, and Azucena Moran, Research Associate at the Institute for Advanced Sustainability Studies in Potsdam.
The panel will be moderated by Participedia Teaching Training and Mentoring Committee Co-chair, Melissa Levin from the University of Toronto.
Organized by Participedia’s Teaching, Training and Mentoring Committee, Teaching Cafes provide a space for community members, practitioners and students to come together and develop teaching and learning practices by sharing experiences.
