Dr. Bernice Downey will examine the current Indigenous health policy environment and look at the need for targeted health equity approaches for Indigenous people when she presents a CHEPA seminar on Wednesday March 20. This seminar will also be available online, through Webex. See chepa.org for more information.

Dr. Downey holds cross appointments with McMaster’s School of Nursing and the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioural Neurosciences and is also the Indigenous Health Lead for the Faculty of Health Science. She was recently awarded the Heart and Stroke Foundation – Canadian Institute of Health Research – Chair in Indigenous Women’s Heart and Brain Health.
