Now that summer is here and the season for hosting outdoor gatherings with friends and family is upon us, it’s time to put a new spin on an old favourite: charcuterie! Join us on Thursday, July 29th at 7pm EDT as Paul Hoag, Executive Chef at McMaster University, demonstrates how to take your charcuterie skills to the next level for all different occasions! Trust us, sweet dreams are made of cheese!
Executive Chef Paul Hoag has been in the hospitality industry for over 34 years and has achieved his Certified Chef de Cuisine CCC as well as his Certified Executive Chef CEC. He has had the opportunity to work in various capacities and learn from Master Chefs throughout his career, from opening Oliver & Bonacini’s landmark restaurant Canoe, working as Executive Chef at the Liberty Group, to training under World Master Chef George McNeil at the Royal York. Chef Hoag has competed at the World Cup in Luxembourg, as well as the World Culinary Olympics 2016/2020, and is now the Head manager for the 2020-2024 Culinary Team Canada. In December 2019, he headed to Stockholm Sweden to cook for the Nobel Peace Prize, the only Canadian to ever do so. Even more incredible, he has had the opportunity to cook for the Royal Family of England, Prince Charles and Princess Diana. Chef Hoag is now the Executive Chef at McMaster University in Hamilton, Ontario.
We are delighted to have Executive Chef Paul Hoag and his team in Hospitality Services lead this event!
