Thinking about and planning your career can feel daunting. But it doesn’t have to be that way. Come have casual conversations and participate in quick activities while enjoying some free food and beverages at the Grind.

At this event, you’ll get to chat with Student Success Centre career counsellors and employment experts who can provide guidance in your career journey. With your peers, you can mingle, ask questions and learn about different aspects of career exploration and planning.

Optional Activities:
-Change your Mindset about careers: Use the Challenge Cards assessment tool to reflect on the impact you want to make and the topics that matter to you. We’ll be there to provide a demo and guidance.
– “My career started here”: Reflect on the role your first job has played in your career development. Every experience counts!
-Ask a career counsellor: Get answers or spark new ideas. Pick an occupation out of a bowl, and let’s think about what it would be like to work in that role.
-Skills card sort: Use a tool to sort and identify the skills you have and the ones you’d like to develop based on your career.
