Join us for a keynote by Miss J. Alexander, model, actor, designer and former judge on America’s Next Top Model.

The keynote will explore the intersections of blackness, gender, and femininity and how it uniquely affects the lives of black queer folks. The talk will focus on experiences with personal identities, navigating the fashion industry as a Black queer person, and lessons taken in advocacy. In addition, Miss J will be looking at diversity and representation, examining gender expectations and finding the tools to create spaces that contribute to disrupting the status quo, increase diversity and representation. The overarching theme centers on the importance of representation in media and its effect on underrepresented populations.

Tickets:
Tickets are $5 for McMaster, University of Guelph, and Laurier students. *McMaster, UofG and Laurier students will be required to show a valid student card for entry with a student ticket.*

Tickets will be $15 for staff, faculty or community members.
